This whole idea of discovering our purpose is relatively new to us as human beings.  

One thousand years ago, nobility were the only ones capable of even pondering something like this.

Today, people living in primitive parts of the world don't sit around pondering their purpose.

People simply do whatever is required to help their tribe survive. 

This is our purpose; to serve others and address their needs. 

When we focus on a self-serving purpose we leave ourselves feeling empty. 

It's the same as in our romantic life, when we are only concerned with serving ourself, we end up feeling empty.  True joy comes when we serve the needs of another.
