I remember back when I was just about 10 or 11 years old, seeing a book on my mom's bookcase, in her sewing room, call "Your Erroneous Zones." It was by a guy named Wayne Dyer. I didn't know anything about him or the book. My mom said it was about the power of thinking positive. That seems VERY interesting to me, even at that age.
Even though I dug into many book on the power of the human mind and how our thoughts shaped our world, I didn't really ever read much of Dr. Dyer's work.
In 2006, the host on our radio program gave each member of the show a copy of Dr. Wayne Dyer's book The Power of Intention. It was so far outside of my world-view it took me several months to really read it. But, when I did, WOW! This book lit me up like a 3000 watt light bulb. I couldn't get enough of it.
Today, I've read at least 7 or 8 of Dr. Dyer's books and he's be influential in shaping my views of the world and the one to come which Dr. Dyer himself is now inhabiting.
In this episode I explore some wonderful quotes from Dr. Dyer and explore my view of them and how they've affected how I live my life. I also give you some ways in which you can use them to find peace, joy and purpose in your daily life.
Here are the quotes:
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.
You cannot always control what goes on outside. But you can always control what goes on inside.
What comes out of you when you are squeezed is what is inside of you.
Our lives are a sum total of the choices we have made.
I hope each of these quotes will not only inspire you but literally change you.
